Why We Ride

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a disabling and chronic disease of the central nervous system. It can cause blurred vision and blindness, slurred speech, loss of balance, numbness in the extremities and even paralysis. It affects an estimated quarter of a million Americans; an estimated 200 additional are diagnosed each week. MS is devastating because it is so unpredictable. The progression, severity and symptoms of the disease cannot be foreseen. The cause and cure for MS is not known.

Advances in treating and understanding MS are achieved daily and progress in research to find a cure is very encouraging. In the last 10 years alone, six new drugs have been approved by the FDA for treatment of this disease.

The funds we raise in support of this organization are used to fund national cutting edge research efforts to find the cause and cure of this devastating disease and to fund the many vital services and programs that provide hope for the thousands of victims of MS and their families in Orange, San Diego and Imperial Counties.

Many of the members of our team, family members and friends are affected by MS. This ride is one of the many ways that we can help them find a cure. This is our way of making a difference!
